Safer Gambling Week
Safer Gambling Week is a cross-industry initiative to promote safer gambling in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The Raising Standards Alliance will provide its platform to promote Safer Gambling Week. Our aim is to generate greater awareness of safer gambling and raise significant donations for charities that provide advice, treatment and research to reduce gambling-related harm. The Safer Gambling Week campaign aims to raise a minimum of £100,000. We are asking you to donate through the RSA to one of the safer gambling charities including The Young Gamers and Gamblers Education Trust (YGAM), GamCare, and Gordon Moody. Find out more about each of these charities via the Donate page and the resources below
CHIPS Golf Day
An enthusiastic team of golfers representing Ambassadeurs Group, CEEK Marketing and Influencer.com recently took part in the 17th annual CHIPS Golf Charity Day to help raise money for CHIPS, the gaming industry charity for children with severe mobility issues. The tournament, which is CHIPS flagship fundraising event of the year, raised an impressive total of £55,000, up on last year’s figure of £35,000.
CHIPS was founded on behalf of the UK Gaming industry in order to raise funds to purchase specialised powered wheelchairs for youngsters with varying disabilities. It has raised over £2m to fund a total of 535 bespoke powered wheelchairs that make a real difference in these children’s lives and provide the quality of life that is the right of every child.
Global’s Make Some Noise
Alexander Armstrong, Classic FM presenter and number-one selling classical singer, recently raised money for Classic FM’s charity, Global’s Make Some Noise, which improves the lives of disadvantaged people by supporting small and local charities across the UK. He did this by singing 24 concerts in just 24 hours and concert #14 was held at 6 Hamilton Place, a fine dining and luxury event space and part of the Ambassadeurs Group who are an RSA Partner. Alexander’s energy levels were still high and he gave a great performance that was enjoyed by all of those in attendance.
He not only set the world record for the most concerts performed in 24 hours, but also raised over £100k for the charity! Ambassadeurs Group was happy to be involved and help raise such a significant amount of money to support small and local charities across the UK.
SGW Charity Walk
Les Ambassadeurs Club as part of Ambassadeurs Group recently organised a charity walk for its staff in the beautiful South Downs. The 10.5-mile walk brought together staff and their families to support and raise awareness of SGW amongst other walkers.
Starting off from Saddlescombe, the group walked through fields of wildflowers following the South Downs Way across Fulking Hill and Edburton Hill and on to Beeding Hill, which all offered excellent views to the sea and north to the Weald. The route then followed the Monarch's Way for a short section before the group returned along the escarpment via the dry valley of Devil's Dyke and back to the start. A great day was had by all and everyone enjoyed raising awareness of safer gambling.
Les Ambassadeurs is also donating the proceeds from their in-house events during SGW.
